Why Maternity Photos?

Let’s be honest. Getting Maternity Photos done is something that you might have to really talk yourself into. I sure did, and I’m a photographer! When I was pregnant with my twins, the last thing I wanted to do was get out of my pjs, do my hair and makeup, and get all dressed up. I was exhausted and I think a lot of moms can relate with that.

But I Am So Glad I Did.

There is so Much Beauty in Pregnancy.

Even when you can’t’ see it, maybe don’t feel your best, you have swollen ankles, and just getting out the door is utterly exhausting, I can promise you that you will not regret having these photos to look back on. The moment your baby arrives and is earthside, you will have a moment where you are like “I am really glad I got maternity photos done” Truly, it is just an hour of your time, and now you will have memories forever of this incredible accomplishment.

Pregnancy Is Truly an Accomplishment.

It’s a feat. And you need to celebrate that. And for some, (like for me) it might be a once in a lifetime experience. Every day of pregnancy might even be a fight for you. There is a grit and determination that women posses and getting Maternity Photos for yourself is a celebration and honor of that.

It’s A Season in Life That Is Unlike Any Other.

The expectation. The wondering of who your baby will be. Who they will look like. The excitement to finally see them in that cute little outfit you paid entirely too much for. Those special moments with your partner, dreaming and planning for your future. It’s incredible and absolutely worth photographing. Don’t let anyone convince you otherwise.

When Are Maternity Photography Sessions Typically Done?

  • Maternity Photography Sessions are typically done when mama is around 32-35 weeks along, just in case baby comes early.

Are Maternity Sessions Offered In Studio Or Outdoor?

  • Maternity Sessions are offered both in studio or outdoor depending on time of year/preference.

Do You Include Significant Others And Children?

  • While Maternity Sessions do focus on mama and belly, I absolutely can include your partner, and any other children as well at no extra cost.

The Maternity Photoshoot Experience

  • All sessions require a non-refundable booking fee in order to get booked. The Maternity Booking Fee is $200 however this is waived when you also book a Newborn Session at the same time.

    I recommend booking when you hit 20 weeks along to ensure a spot in my schedule.

    Please Note: The Booking Fee serves solely to secure your session, and it is not applied to your chosen Collection Cost. (Maternity Collections start at $500)

  • Maternity Sessions are offered in studio (morning) or outdoors (evening) depending on time of year and preference.

    They are typically done around 33-35 weeks along in case baby comes early.

    You will also fill out a short questionnaire prior to your session to let me know any details.

    Siblings/Partners are included at no additional cost.

  • 7-10 Days following your session you will be sent a proofing gallery of un-edited images where you will choose and pay for your images and Collection choice. (Contact me for Collection Pricing)

    Approximately 1-2 weeks after choosing your images, you will be sent a download link of your fully edited and retouched images.

    You will have an opportunity to purchase professional prints and products at this time as well.

    A print release is included with every session.
