Salem, Oregon | Newborn & Baby Photographer
There is nothing more amazing then photographing a brand new baby. All those sweet small details that just came into your life and absolutely captured your heart. From their tiny toes, to their perfect little nose, to their wrinkly little foreheads. My goal is to capture those details as a keepsake for the rest of your life. Those first few weeks with a newborn just fly by, (and are essentially a blur, right moms? :) and there is no second chance at capturing those sweet early moments.
I live in Salem, Oregon with my husband and our chihuahua, Koko, who is more like our fur-baby. We adore her shenanagins and she makes us laugh every day.
I started LiveJoy Photography in early 2013. As a gift to some of my best friends when they had their baby girl, I told them I would take pictures of her when she arrived! At the time, I had no idea that this little girl's arrival would have propelled me toward my calling and my passion! Photographing her was nothing short of amazing, and I "caught the bug". The bug of being a Newborn & Baby Photographer. A few months later LiveJoy Photography was born, and my adventure began! I have now photographed hundreds of babies, and the passion just continues to grow!
My entire life I have been the "girl who was good with babies". So photographing and working with babies has been the most natural and easy transition in the world. The truth is that babies and children are my passion. And when something is your passion, you never want to stop learning and growing.
I have a sweet little home studio where I do all my Newborn Photos and early Baby Milestone sessions. I currently use natural light for all my sessions.
I was trained in both film and digital photography at the University of the Nations in Kona, Hawaii. What an incredible setting in which to learn! It was 6 months and 8 hours a day of photography. It was amazing, and I am so grateful for everything I experienced. I then went back to help staff the same photography school for 2 years. It was foundational to the beginning of LiveJoy Photography and birthed a creative passion in me that remains to this day.
Photography is my joy and my passion in life. I am so blessed to be able to do what I do. I eat, sleep, dream, and breathe photography, and am as excited as you for your time with me. I spend hours planning, researching, and getting inspired before your session.
I am so honored to capture your little (and big) joy's in life.
